Projects Implemented by the Larnaca District Development Agency during 2004-2006 programming period

European projects implemented by the agency:

1. Project "LEADER +" for the promotion of agrotourism and local traditional products.

2. Project "R3L Initiative-European Networks of Learning Regions", for lifelong learning.

3. Project "Leonardo da Vinci" – Experience from new technologies and good practises in the European Union.

4. Project INTERREG III C – "Mo.No.Pi" – Promotion of religious monuments.

5. Project INTERREG III B Archimed – "TECHNET", that involves the creation of a European-Mediterranean network for cultural heritage. Project website: www.technetproject.eu

6. Project INTERREG III B Archimed – "WATERMAP», which concerns the exploitation and utilisation of expert charts and management of underground aquatic resources.

7. Project INTERREG III B Archimed – "M.I.D.A», which concerns the creation of a network for promotion of strategies to support the growth of rural regions.

8. Project INTERREG III B Archimed – "MESFIDE», which concerns the creation of a network for the promotion of viable and practical ways of fishing.

9. Project "RAISE PLUS», which concerns the promotion of dialogue between various countries of European Union, via inter-country seminars and congresses that promote a multi cultural dialogue. Project website: www.raise-plus.org

10. Project "Europe for citizens: Promotion of Active European Citizenship" that concerns the promotion of bonding and collaboration between the citizens that live in countries of EU via seminars, lectures, e.t.c.

11. Project "SOLISOL-Eco-museum of the Mediterranean" that concerns the creation of Euromediteranean network that would support the tourist system of each country and promotes energies that aim in the promotion of LEADER.

1. Project INTERREG III B Archimed – promotion of women entrepreneurship (Lefkara Municipality). Project website: www.wbc-net.org

2. Project INTERREG III B Archimed - "MULTI-GATE», which concerns the application of electronic activities. (Municipalities of Larnaca and Aradipou).

Co-financed projects implemented by the agency:

1. Program of Community Initiative EQUAL – «New Routes for Women", concerns the combination of family and professional life, the reduction of professional segregation based on sex, the promotion of mechanisms of incorporation of equality in the labour space and the encouragement of feminine employment. It is co-financed by European Social Fund (50%) and Cypriot Democracy (50%).

2. Project “Professional training of refugees and individuals with complementary protection - Routes of Integration” that concerns the training of individuals with complementary protection for their integration in the labour market.

Co-financed projects managed by the agency:

1. Project «Creation of a Facility for the Creative Occupation and Care of Babies (up to the age of 2)» in Pyla community in the framework of the measure 1.4 - "Services for children, elderly people and people with special needs".

2. Project «Creation of a Facility for Social Incorporation and Creative Activities for Handicapped Children» in Aradippou municipality in the framework of the measure 1.4 - "Services for children, elderly people and people with special needs".

3. Project «Creation of a Facility for Social Incorporation and Creational Activity for Children» in Athienou municipality in the framework of the measure 1.4 - "Services for children, elderly people and people with special needs".

4. Project «Cooperation, Expansion and Improvement of Services in Favor of the Elderly» for the community councils of: Kofinou, Mazotos, Scarinou and Psematismenos in the framework of the measure 1.4 - "Services for children, elderly people and people with special needs".

5. Project «Creation of Kindergarten» in Pyrga community in the framework of the measure 1.4 - "Services for children, elderly people and people with special needs".
