ACCOUNTS DEPARTMENT

The Accounts Department is responsible for the management of the economic matters of the Agency. The Department controls any activity regarding the economic procedures which the Agency runs. It functions in cooperation and with the coordination of the Director and with the other Departments of the Agency.

The aim of the Accounts Department is the well functioning of the Agency regarding the management of the economic resources, the observance of the laws and the rules of the Republic of Cyprus and the E.U. and, finally, the providing of supporting services to the shareholders of the Agency regarding accounting and economic matters.

More specifically, the Accounts Department is responsible for the following activities:
- Economic management of E.U. funded programmes, programmes funded by the Structural funds, programmes funded by the Republic of Cyprus (National Funds) or any other programmes which are implemented by the Agency
- Providing of supporting services to the shareholders of the Agency regarding economic matters
- Economic planning of the Agency
- Economic transactions
- Bookkeeping
- Payments of the personnel
- Observance of terms and conditions of procurements’ procedure
- Preparation, checking and ratification of agreements, contracts and conventions
- Management of the capital of the Agency
- Cooperation with Economic Departments and Services of the government of the Republic of Cyprus (VAT Services, Social Insurance Services, Tenders Review Authority, Inland Revenue Department etc)
